The first PingPongParkinson™ Sydney Open was held on 4 April 2026 at Forestville Table Tennis Club, bringing together players living with Parkinson’s disease from across Sydney.
The event featured a competitive tournament for players with Parkinson’s, alongside social games for family members and support people. This inclusive format created a welcoming environment that balanced challenge with connection, allowing participants of all skill levels to engage.
Attendees highlighted the opportunity to meet others within the Parkinson’s community, while also developing their table tennis skills in a supportive and energising setting. The day was marked by strong participation, camaraderie, and a shared sense of achievement.
The Sydney Open represents an important step in building a vibrant and sustainable PingPongParkinson™ community, combining physical activity with social support to enhance well-being.
